All Star Soccer Camps µ O All Star Soccer Camps directed by Mike Sweeney, former Olympian and World Cup Player, offers the very best in professional instruction. Our goal is to provide boys and girls, ages 5 - 12 with a challenging, competitive, fun environment in which to learn the game of soccer. Under Mike's direction, pro players and licensed college, high school coaches and players will provide the highest level of instruction through enjoyable, safe drills and games. The camp will emphasize the development of skill, technique, sportsmanship and self-confidence. BeWISE µO BeWISE is a mathematics and science camp designed to develop interest, excitement, and self-confidence in young women who are entering grade 7 or 8 in the Fall of 2009. This week-long residential camp for 130 young women will be held from June 14—19, 2009. This will be our 20th year for this camp. The camp will feature a separate curriculum for each grade level emphasizing hands-on activities. Class size will emphasize the ratio of 10 students per teacher to encourage maximum interaction and instruction. Seventh grade classes: math, physics, ecology, environmental science—stream. Camp Cheerful µO Located in the Cleveland Metroparks Mill Stream Run Reservation in Strongsville, Camp Cheerful provides children with a supportive environment where they can enjoy typical camp experiences. Staff at the Achievement Centers for Children create new and innovative programs to enhance outdoor experiences that emphasize abilities, foster positive self-esteem, and help children learn new skills that can be applied to their daily lives. Camp Fitch YMCA, established in 1914, is located on the shores of Lake Erie in NW Pennsylvania. Camp Fitch is an ACA Accredited week-long resident camp. Boys and girls ages 6—16 enjoy a strong program, caring staff, and outstanding facilities. Activities include campfires, archery, rock climbing, sailing, horse back riding, a water trampoline, and mountain boarding (added for 2008) among others. Camp Invention Camp Invention is returning to Rushwood Elementary June 15-19, 2009, with all new activities! The program is designed to inspire creativity and inventive thinking through loads of hands-on activities and F-U-N! Camp Macedonia µO Macedonia Parks & Recreation offers a 9-week summer day camp beginning in June. Camp Nuhop

Camp Quality Ohio is a free week long overnight camp and year round support system for children with cancer ages 4-18 and siblings ages 6-16 depending on space. Camp Quality is the only week long camp in Ohio that solely focuses on children with cancer and has a one-on-one adult companion paired with each camper. Camp Timberwolf (See also Girl Scouts) The Girl Scouts of North East Ohio are excited to announce the return of Camp Timberwolf at Camp Sugarbush in Kinsman, Ohio. Camp Timberwolf will be held August 3-7, 2009 from 10am- 4pm daily, and is open to any girl ages 5-18. This program is being offered in collaboration with Rotary Camp YMCA. All girls with physical and development disabilities are welcome to attend this one week day camp program. While at camp, campers will enjoy crafts, swimming, nature activities, songs, and much more. Rotary Camp YMCA will provide counselors at a ratio of 1 counselor to every 3 campers. Rotary Camp’s counselors are experienced and trained in working with children with disabilities and will provide each camper with the extra attention necessary to have a powerful and uplifting camping experience.

Cedarbrook Camp of Ohio (at Stony Glen) is an interdoneminational, ACA accredited, Christian camp located 35 miles east of Cleveland at the beautiful Stony Glen campgrounds. Champions Summer Day Camp Take a Summer Adventure with Champions! Exploration, discovery, and intrigue lead an adventurer to newfound pathways. Children will have the opportunity to become adventurers as they embark on a journey that will take them to places like space, wilderness, the jungle, and the sea. Cuyahoga Valley Career Center O Cuyahoga Valley Career Center Summer Career Camps are one-week camps scheduled June 15-19 and June 22-26, 2009, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at CVCC for students currently in 7th, 8th and 9th grades. Camp activities involve skills and knowledge simulating careers, providing campers with an opportunity to “try on” a career prior to pursuing it. Camps offered this summer include Car Care I, Car Care II, CSI: Cuyahoga Valley, CO2 Dragster, Tool Time, Beautiful You, Chef for a Week, Movie Makers, Photoshop Unleashed, Breaking News, Underwater Robot, Video Game Design, Digital Fashion Designer, Kare 4 Kidz ‘n Petz and STEM Camp. The Girl Scouts of North East Ohio will be hosting a variety of Summer Camp sessions from June 22 - August 2, 2009. All of our picturesque camps offer an assortment of camping activities such as archery, rock climbing, swimming, canoeing, fishing, nature study, and much more. Great Lakes Science Center Great Summer Science µ Great Lakes Science Center will again offer its weeklong Great Summer Science Day Camps beginning June 15, 2009. Pleasant Hill Outdoor Center µO Pleasant Hill Outdoor Center is a traditional summer camp with a small camp environment and big camp fun. We are a Christian summer camp located in Mohican Country Ohio, about 20 min. off Rt.71 near Loudonville. Situated on a picturesque 250 acres and an 850 acre lake, we are the ‘The Hill’ and all that is best about summer. Our days are filled with great traditional summer camp activities led by counselors that have a real interest in helping your child grow socially, spiritually and physically. With customizable class tracts that include lake sports, outdoor skills, crafts, horses and adventure sports, your child will hardly know what to try first! We deliberately keep our weeks small, under 80 campers a week, so that we can devote personal time to your camper, helping them grow and learn. Red Oak, Red Barn and Chincapin Camps. µO Red Oak has several different camps for boys and girls of various ages. We offer three week long, co-ed residence camp sessions. Campers enjoy all available activities at Red Oak, including challenge course. The Red Oak Legacy Session is a residence camp for boys 11-15. Campers stay at camp weekdays, returning home weekends. In camp, the boys learn to climb, rappel, backpack and canoe. The last two weeks feature an out-of-state backpacking, canoeing or climbing adventure. Red Barn is a day camp for boys ages 7-11. Each day the boys choose fun, challenging outdoor activities, which include archery, canoeing, crafts, fishing, hiking, low-ropes course, outdoor science, softball, swimming and more. Camp Roseland Lanes Summer Bowling Camp - We offer a 10 week Beginner, Experienced and Advanced Bowling camp. The 3 different level camps include weekly bowling instructions with coaches, open play time and a light lunch. The Rotary Camp for children with Special Needs, in cooperation with the Akron Area YMCA, offers camping experiences for children and adults with disabilities. Rotary Camp is American Camping Association (ACA) accredited and provides a nurturing and enriching atmosphere where campers develop friendships, skills and memories that will last a lifetime.

Shipwreck Camp 2009: Join us for a virtual adventure to find a shipwreck in Lake Erie! Inspired by the research and exploration of Dr. Robert Ballard, father of the JASON Project, the Immersion Presents Program, and finder of the wreckage of the Titanic, this camp will engage campers in field science and exploration weekdays from 9:30a.m. – 3:30p.m. (times may vary, depending on event planned) starting Monday, July 20, 2009.
